Just a quick one tonight – I was too scared to tell too many people before the event, but this morning I was on the radio! I spoke to Sally Pepper at BBC Radio Derby about all things Denmark, hygge and this very blog.
Why not give me a little listen? I have to admit that I will never gather the courage to listen to this myself, because I shudder at the sound of my own voice, but if you fancy it, listen to me on the Sally Pepper show from about 14.20. I’d love to know what you think!
PS – I hope you enjoy the image at the top – that really is a face for radio, right? It was taken at the Experimentarium in Copenhagen, and it’s gross. The face, not the Experimentarium. We had a whale of a time there.
I heard you today on the radio. It was really good and I enjoyed it. I am familiar with Hygge I have been traveling to Denmark for years now and just love everything about it. I try to bring this to my own home. I’m obsessed with candles, open sandwiches and especially cinnamon buns.
I love snaps n rye restaurant in London and of course the Scandinavian kitchen London.
It’s great your sharing how to get Hygge. I thinks it’s good for everyone. We all need to be cosy and happy.
Hello! Thanks so much, that’s really kind. I totally agree – Denmark is an absolute delight, and I can’t wait to go back. I only found out about Snaps + Rye a couple of days ago and it looks AMAZING, and Scandi Kitchen is indeed fantastic. I really hope this blog helps people experience more hygge in their lives – as you say, it’s good for everyone. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
