HOW HOW HOW have we reached this point in the year?!
As I write this post, it’s grey, misty and murky outside, and I love it. I’m so much happier in this weather than in the oppressive heat.
Today I wanted to do something to say thank you to everyone who’s read my blog this year, so I’m giving away a little hygge hamper. I’ve put this together myself – no PR input! – so you know that I’ve chosen every item for a reason. For me, there’s nothing better than snuggling up watching a film and working on whatever crochet project I’ve got on the go at the time.
My favourite winter cosy activity has to be those frosted woodland walks with our two little boys and then getting back to a warm home for hot chocolate. I adore Winter xxx

My favourite thing to do as the days get shorter is to snuggle in an armchair with a blanket, a new book and a cup of liquorice and cinnamon tea.
I often save books bought in summer for autumn/winter so I can look forward to them.
My favourite winter activity? On a bright, cold day there’s nothing better than a walk in the frosted countryside. On a day like today, grey, misty, wet, dark by 3pm, nothing better than curling up with a book under a blanket and relaxing.
Sitting by the Yule Log (Netflix), coffee in my favorite mug, reading holiday magazines about Art Journaling, Artful Blogging, and Sift, listening to Christmas nature music (Spotify). Tree lights on, blanket on with a cat on my lap.
Family, Wet weather gear, dog walk then board games with something steaming in a mug (placed on a shelf so the child and dogs do not knock it over)., making suet ball bird food and (fingers crossed) a 10 minute nanna nap with a full belly.
Soo my favourite thing to do is to have all my family round and make hot vegetable pakora with desi chai! (Tea which we brew for ages with flavouring)haha! Sounds unusual but it’s the best. the combination is honestly sooo satisfying. Pakora with tea is really popular in most Asian countries but I sort of wish they had our winter to experience it in the cold. Snuggled up whilst watching it snow outside it’s the best way!
My favorite winter activity is lighting a candle, pulling out my favorite fuzzy blanket, and snuggling with my dog while reading or playing video games.
My favorite winter activity is singling on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa and a good book, or a good movie, or a …anything as long as I’m all snuggled up in a cozy blanket.

Mt favourite activity is to sit by the log fire and do my cross stitches as they have such lovely design now and i love to watch the pictures develope bit by bit.
Eating hearty meals. I don’t have a working stove at the moment, which is a pest, but I found out recently when Tesco marked some sirloins down to less than a quid that it’s possible to cook steak perfectly in a toaster oven (put oil in a baking tray and use it like a frying pan: it takes slightly longer, but it works).
I enjoy getting back to the house after a cold / wet dog walk and warming up with a cup of tea and blankets!

Movie nights in with my family – pjs on and a takeaway!
I love family pyjama days. We watch movies and play board games. Unfortunately we don’t get the chance to do it as often as we would like to.
I sew in the winter as there’s not much to do in the garden. I make kids clothes to donate to charity, to go to Romania.

I like to wrap myself in a warm blanket, have a large cup of tea and read a good book.
