A student’s purse was stolen in Caffe Nero in Brighton this afternoon.

Kayleigh Tanner, 21, noticed it was missing after finding her bag open behind her chair.

Miss Tanner said: “It’s disgusting, what is wrong with people? That purse has everything in it and the inconvenience far outweighs the value of the contents.”

Police believe the bag was dragged from its position between Miss Tanner and her friend’s chairs.
